10 Tag Teams WWE Should Make Right Now
6. Shinsuke Nakamura & Sami Zayn
If Nakamura doesn't capture the championship off Jinder Mahal, and it's pretty early days to put the title on the Japanese swagmeister, he'll need something to do very soon to keep his momentum going. A partnership with a fellow face would let him play his bizarre charisma off another wrestler and open up a whole new raft of storylines for him to get into.
Sami Zayn, meanwhile, doesn't do much except for pluckily lose. He's one of the WWE's most experienced and dynamic performers but without real creative drive behind him he's in danger of becoming little more than a named jobber.
The solution for both men is a tag team. They are both fan favourites, and even have some intense history with one of NXT's best-ever matches in their past. A tag pairing could showcase both men and lend Nakamura a partner out of the ring so he doesn't have to handle interview segments in his second language alone.
The pair could go their separate ways with a mutually respectful final match, going back to Nakamura's epic NXT debut to see if he's still the better man.
