10 Terrible WWE Storylines One Tweak Away From Excellence

Bray Wyatt: WWE Champion was a fantasy booking scenario better late than never for the cult leader's enormous fanbase, and he did it in the middle of a story going far better than it had any right to. In late-2016, Wyatt somehow convinced Randy Orton to join his "Family" alongside Luke Harper, then, with Orton winning the Royal Rumble, convinced 'The Apex Predator' to sacrifice his WrestleMania title shot.

Then Orton revealed that it was all a ruse to rip the group apart and take Wyatt's title.

One Tweak: The spooky bullsh*t has to work or it can't exist at all.

After Randy set the compound on fire (read that again if you don't think any of this went a bit too far), Wyatt returned fire with some odd little crucifix gimmick as 'The Viper' was restrained by some unknown acolyte goons. During the WrestleMania match itself, 'The Eater Of Worlds' had maggots appear on the ring canvas in a flawed effort to derail the Challenger before his eventual pedestrian RKO victory.

These were literal magical powers and they couldn't beat a mere mortal-sorry, a "Sports Entertainer From The Ground Up". Soz Bray, if you can't tackle that with wizardry, you're even more f*screwed than you were before.
