8. Was Handed A Massive 'Mania Match With The Undertaker
Pretty much ever since King Kong Bundy wobbled his way to the ring for a short, unsatisfactory match against the man in 1995, the WWF/WWE have been fairly picky about exactly who faces The Undertaker at WrestleMania. There have been notable exceptions, of course, such as the mundane Hell In A Cell match against The Big Boss Man in 1999, and a pedestrian effort against The Big Show and A-Train in 2003, but for the most part, 'Taker has been protected at 'Mania. Usually - certainly in latter years - WWE have ensured that only the elite could challenge for the vaunted WrestleMania winning streak, meaning fans have enjoyed seeing The Deadman square off with everyone from Edge and Shawn Michaels, to Triple H and Brock Lesnar. Sandwiched in between HHH and Lesnar was CM Punk, who was give quite the hype job to prepare him for a match against The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXIX. Punk's reasoning for going after The Deadman's streak was to rob fans of such a historic legacy, because he had lost the WWE Title to The Rock. Being programmed opposite Undertaker is nothing to take lightly, it was arguably more important than a title match at 'Mania up until Brock Lesnar defeated The Undertaker, but Punk seems to have forgotten this particular feud.
