10 Things Everybody Gets Wrong About Modern WWE
8. "There's Nothing For Me Anymore"
While it's true that WWE aren't going to scratch your hardcore, lucha libre or puroresu itches, their product has never been so varied, and if you think there's nothing for you, chances are that you're not looking hard enough.
WWE's insistence on trying to cater to everybody at once is one of their product's biggest flaws. It has left their programming resembling a series of spotty, inconsistent variety shows, with some segments designed for one section of the fanbase, with others aimed at other groups. This means that there'll always be "good" and "bad" on every single show, but there's still plenty to enjoy if you're able to compartmentalise.
Those who love sports entertainment's ups and downs are extremely well catered on the main roster. If you value in-ring action above all else, Raw and SmackDown usually provide at least one good-to-great match every week, while NXT TakeOver remains a goldmine. Speaking of WWE's developmental brand, it's still the go-to place for simple, logical storylines and a more aesthetically pleasing style of wrestling, while WWE's many tournaments are never short of action either.
No matter your preferences, there's almost certainly something you'll enjoy within the current WWE product - you just need to dig a little deeper to find it.
