10 Things GFW Can Do To Make An Impact On Wrestling
1. Daniel Bryan
It has become evidently clear over the past year that Bryan’s decision to leave wrestling as an active competitor was not his own. In fact, it’s fair to say that, through a combination of WWE sanctioning and doctor’s orders, he was forced into retirement.
However, when Daniel Bryan made allusions to working elsewhere on Talking Smack earlier this year, the internet wrestling community exploded overnight at the prospect of a Daniel Bryan return to the ring. Suddenly, it was clear that the former “American Dragon” will be free to weigh up his options when his WWE contract is up in 2018.
It’s obvious Bryan has the desire to perform again and it was noted when he retired that his condition may improve with time. A three year stay on the sidelines could have been just what he needed to recover from the head and neck trauma that took him out of the ring.
If Bryan were to work smart and sporadically without taking unnecessary risks, he could find himself in the dream situation that allows him to perform on a limited schedule outside of the WWE stranglehold. If Anthem Sports keep their eye on the issue as it develops, a timely offer of an attractive contract could be the difference maker that shocks the world.
