3. Drop The Hardy Legal Battle

The issue of ownership over the “Broken Universe” has been a hot topic in the wrestling world ever since Matt and Jeff Hardy left TNA in early 2017. The subsequent mudslinging has been ugly and something both parties could do without.

When Matt and Jeff created their off-the-wall alter egos as “Broken Matt” and “Brother Nero”, the wrestling world became fascinated by the unique presentation. The bizarre, albeit groundbreaking, footage that came out of it was a first in the wrestling business and the Hardys were hailed by many as innovators of wrestling once more.

The legal wranglings between the Hardy Family and Anthem Sports have been very public, very messy, and very negative ever since the issues came to light. With the Hardys' status as beloved figures in the wrestling world, Anthem’s stance has effectively robbed the audience of two of their favourite characters.

The battle for ownership over the “Broken Universe” has left GFW labelled as the "bad guys" and has done nothing to endear them to fans since the Hardys departure. Furthermore, if the “Broken Hardys” were to resurface in WWE, it will prompt fans to discover the origins of those characters, bringing more eyeballs to the GFW product as a result.
