1. Who On Earth Are These Guys?
Perhaps the most overwhelming change for those who haven't watched in years will be the overhaul of the roster. Again, this isn't a criticism being thrown at WWE, everything changes over time. It's illogical to expect the roster to be the same as it was 10-15 years ago, that just doesn't happen. However, it must be weird to see so many new faces on shows you remember watching with a familiar cast of characters. For example, where's Rey Mysterio, and who is this diminutive masked man called Kalisto? 'King' Barrett? What happened to Jerry 'The King' Lawler? Quite often, when watching wrestling with someone who watched as a child, it's interesting to see how instantly they dismiss current top stars as poor imitations of their favourites. The likes of Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose won't be exempt from that treatment. Aside from Vince and Stephanie McMahon, Triple H, the aforementioned Lawler (and possibly Michael Cole), Kane, The Big Show and The Undertaker, there are few around who were part of the 'Attitude' Era. Tuning in again to see what's happening may thus be a jarring moment, because it's like watching a favoured TV show that oversees a complete casting change. What else do you think lapsed fans are thinking when tuning in to WWE programming right now? What do you make of the ideas on this list? Let us know what you think down in the comments section!
