10 Things We Learned From Dixie Carter's Podcast Interviews

1. New Programming

Carter says that one of the biggest opportunities moving to Spike to Destination America comes with the addition of more programming. She wasn't interested in only licensing a two-hour show, but was looking for a network home that will let them expand their programming schedule. Some of the new shows include Unlocked--hosted by Mike Tenay who's being replaced on Impact by Josh Matthews--which will be a pop-up video type show with behind-the-scenes info. In addition there will be a Greatest Matches series and replays of Impact, plus a marathon of TNA on Wednesdays. Dixie stated " Television is changing and we have to try to get to another level. There isn't another group in this industry who could give us this level of support." It's nice to hear that TNA is happy with their new broadcast partner, and Dixie Carter is to be commended not only for the positive way she's handled the move to the lesser network, but for her accessibility to the wrestling media and the fan base, something the head honchos at her competitor have no interest in.
