WWE could be excused for producing a tepid 'night after 'Mania' edition of Raw in 2020. The pandemic blitzed their annual weekender anyway, and it didn't make sense to produce a string of returns or major moments inside the empty Performance Center.

That was then, this is now. Besides, recent years since have shown that the company wants to move on from traditionally rowdy editions of the flagship 24 hours after WrestleMania. 2021 and 2022 hardly lived up to the past in that respect. Then, there's 2023.

2023's post-'Mania Raw came and went without the expected flurry of NXT call-ups, major returns or industry-rocking surprises. Matt Riddle returned and Brock Lesnar went heel, sure, but that was about it. Sorry to those who loved what Raw after WrestleMania used to be, but that would-be tradition has died out.

WWE don't seem interested in living up to the past, and instead viewed Monday as just another TV.
