10 Things That Absolutely SUCK About Wrestling Today

7. Triple H's Boring Undercard Booking

Triple H's WWE is tedious in general beyond the Bloodline saga.

What would WWE look like in 2023 without Paul Heyman?

Very boring, given that almost everything else - with the exception of the self-aware so bad it's good Rey Vs. Dominik Mysterio soap opera - is so lifeless and just...there.

Triple H telegraphed the living sh*t out of the WrestleMania Intercontinental title match at the Royal Rumble. There's an art to telling the fans the destination and making them want it, but that involves some flair, the odd twist. Booking a Fatal 5-Way match in which double pin chicanery was absolutely nailed on is not that.

Austin Theory just tells you that he's the next big thing without showing it every single boring week. Triple H is breaking the rule of storytelling and promotion, all at the same time. He's telling fans something they're not that much interested in hearing.

Can they co-exist? storylines abound. Still.

Damage CTRL Vs. Becky Lynch, Trish Stratus and Lita feels nothing like a programme featuring two legends and somebody who used to be one of the biggest stars of the wrestling world. WWE too often doesn't tell stories; they establish a premise and then brawl and brawl and talk about the premise again.
