10 Things That Did Not Go The Way Triple H Wanted

4. The Chaperone

Speaking of lessons learned the hard way, on the back of his one-time sparring partner Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson laying the SmackDown on Hollywood's candy asses, Triple H told his father-in-law to hold his beer as he set out to show The Great One how it's really done... or rather, Vince McMahon seemingly yanked his beer out of his hand and kicked him onto the movie set.

Only, instead of quickly catapulting The Game into the mainstream as a movie star capable of roping in millions at the box office, 2011's The Chaperone provided WWE with little more than a stick for Triple H's on-screen rivals to beat him with.

And while it must be said that Trips was pretty much shoved into the role against his will thanks to old Evolution pal Dave Bautista reportedly dropping out of the flick late in the day and Vince ordering him to fill in despite not having read the script, there's still no questioning the fact that this absolute flop of a flick pretty much murdered any hopes the hulking star had of being a big screen action sensation in the coming years.
