10 Things That Will Happen In NXT Before 2021

Will NXT even be the same by the time next year rolls around?

NXT has consistently been the most entertaining brand of WWE programming for years now. This isn't just because of its stellar run of 5 star matches, but also due to its unpredictable booking. Fans are kept on their toes regularly with twists and turns in the interweaving feuds that play out weekly.

While most can guess at what's going to occur on a weekly edition of Raw or SmackDown, few can truly predict what will happen on Wednesday nights. And during the troubling times that the world is in, the brand is even more unpredictable with lockdowns causing a strained roster, meaning lesser known stars are being looked to for bigger roles. For instance, who would have expected that Dexter Lumis of all people would be inserted into a main event level feud? This writer certainly didn't.

With the introduction of AEW and their weekly program, Dynamite, airing directly against them, NXT have been stepping up their game even more so than usual, in efforts to win the ratings battle. The booking as of late, for fans has merely been guesswork, as the product has been promoted as unpredictable, hence being unmissable TV. There are so many different outcomes that can occur every Wednesday night. But that will not stop us from having a stab and making predictions at what will happen.

10. Fans Return To Full Sail

What a crazy world we are living in at the moment. If you haven't noticed, due to current circumstances, there are no fans in the stands. I know that it can be hard to notice, since there isn't much noise during a Nia Jax match normally.

During this time, WWE has stated all programming will be filmed at the WWE Performance Center, except for NXT. The yellow and black brand has been graciously allowed to continue filming in their spiritual home, Full Sail University, which is conveniently located down the road. While it's nice to see NXT feature the same presentation as normal, in contrast to the Raw and SmackDown lite versions we've been seeing, it still, obviously, is not the same without that rowdy Full Sail crowd.

While nobody knows for certain, this pick is merely one made out of hope. Because really that is all we can have in these troubling times. President Donald Trump has stated that he hopes to have fans back in the stands by the end of the year. We all hope that this prediction will be true, fingers crossed, by 2021, the fans have returned and we can all rejoice.
