10 Things That Would Happen If WWE Seriously Started Listening To The Fans
2. Promoted NXT Stars Would Have Clear Focus
Looking back over the history of NXT call-ups is pretty amazing. Some, like Samoa Joe and Charlotte Flair, have clearly worked out. Others, such as The Ascension, The Revival, AOP, No Way Jose, Tyler Breeze, SAnitY, Tye Dillinger and more haven't. That list is a bit bottom-heavy, eh?
Triple H's promise that we'll see new superstars hit Raw and SmackDown in the coming weeks (Lars Sullivan, Lacey Evans, Nikki Cross, Heavy Machinery and EC3 are all set to be promoted) shouldn't be the end of it. It's what WWE do when those names are on the roster that counts, not the mere act of giving them a shot.
They need a plan, and we mean an actual one instead of a two-week push before creative forget about them.
All fans require is a purpose for calling someone up from NXT to begin with. That should be the bare minimum requirement before WWE higher-ups decide to promote, but (all too often) it hasn't been. There's zero excuse for this, and even less of one when it takes someone away from excellence on another brand.
