10 Things We Learned Attending AEW Dynasty 2025 Live

10. Caster Is Perfectly Cast

Despite the payoff during the Dynasty Zero Hour, Max Caster could make a career out of talking smack and getting his tail handed to him in 30-40 seconds by some conquering hero-type babyface.

Caster received deafening boos from the moment he came out until when he lost to a returning Anthony Bowens. Sure, the Best Wrestler Alive used the typical shortcuts of sports team references (in this case, wearing a Ben Simmons jersey (a former basketball player who left the team under dubious circumstances) and suggesting New York was a better sports city).

But that heat meant Bowens got a tremendous reaction as fans encouraged him to “f*** him up” as he went after Caster. After Bowens landed his new Mollywhop finisher (a discus punch), Caster sold it like death.

What the cameras likely missed was Max continuing to play dead until Bowens left the arena. Caster then rolled out of the ring and fell to the floor, then proceeded to crawl up the ramp like an inchworm, arching his midsection and lurching forward and flopping on his stomach, then repeating that pattern until he made it back to the entrance. Fans “cheered” him on as he futilely crawled, appreciating the dedication to the sell (reminiscent of Bob Backlund selling the Diesel powerbomb at Madison Square Garden in 1994).
