A stalwart on the North American independent scene before he even reached TNA, Samoa Joe had also worked across the world on his journey to WWE.

Well-used to long car journeys, rushing through airports and slumming it in low-rent hotels (if he was even lucky enough to get one), the incoming NXT star was overwhelmed with how slick WWE's operation was. In particular, Joe had been expecting NXT to foster a similar environment to the independent circuit, because it wasn't WWE's main priority.

Offered a space on the NXT tour bus and put up in five-star hotels nightly, the comparative luxury to his life on the road beforehand put a smile on Joe's face; during the interview, a laughing Jericho even admits that some veterans on the main roster felt WWE were spoiling these "NXT rookies" by treating them so well.

In Joe's case, such transport between Performance Center, hotels and venues made it a lot easier to acclimatise to WWE's way of doing things.
