8. She Only Found Out WWE Was Fixed When Finding Undertaker's Real Name Online

Imagine being a 12-year old kid, innocently trawling the internet when you stumble upon news that one of your favourite wrestling characters has a life outside the ring. Hardly shocking to anyone now, but in 2004 a young Sasha Banks was left stunned to learn that The Undertaker was actually a man from Texas called Mark Calaway.

Sasha learned this a full 2 years after she had started watching wrestling, and she couldn't believe it. Austin got a kick out of that one, because it played to the childlike wonder he also wrote about in his WWE-published autobiography. Back when he was first watching the industry, even Stone Cold thought it was real too.

It was Undertaker's real life that brought the idea of WWE being genuine crashing down for Banks. Suddenly, she realised that everything was fixed, he wasn't an undead zombie (or even a kick-ass biker) and the entire product was fictional. Every wrestling fan goes through that moment, and Sasha's was a memorable one.
