Time for another repackage job.

Kama Mustafa (Wright's name in the Nation) started to morph into a pimp-like character towards the end of the group's run in '98. Back home, Charles' wife came up with the idea to be an overblown 'Pimp Daddy', and hubby liked what he was hearing. He instantly started envisioning himself as a "mean pimp".

That's when his wife said no. She thought he'd be better off as a fun-loving caricature of his real-life personality, and she even got some new vests and a bit of garish jewellery made to bring her vision to life. Incredibly, McMahon didn't know anything about this plan until it started getting over.

Charles asked The Rock to refer to him as The Godfather during a backstage promo on the 25 April '98 episode of Shotgun Saturday Night, and they were off to the races. That was the first time his new persona was acknowledged on screen.

It got over huge with live crowds. That's when Vince started paying attention.
