10 Things We Learned From WWE 24: Finn Bálor

7. The NXT Brotherhood

Finn Balor 24
WWE Network

Finn Balor was already extremely well connected by the time he joined WWE. From Becky Lynch, his old trainee, to his former Bullet Club stablemates Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, the Irishman was joining a roster of friends, and at the Performance Center, he was training (well, practising) under a man he’d wrestled many times in Japan - Matt Bloom.

We knew all about these connections ahead of 24, but the documentary shed new light on how close Finn has become with those he didn’t know prior to starting in NXT. His relationship with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn seems particularly strong (a concerned Sami even offers to bring the injured Irishman food at one point, like a caring mother), but Neville and Big Cass also feature heavily.

Cass describes the group’s collective camaraderie as “a brotherhood.” They all came through the WWE developmental system at roughly the same time, and experienced the same trials and tribulations en route to the main roster. They were shown training and travelling together, and even setting up a ring at one point, highlighting the closeness of their bond, and painting the group as one big happy family.
