Being part of NXT has already taken Aleister Black to the corners of the earth, but travelling is nothing new to him. Back when Black started training to become a pro wrestler in 2000, there weren't any training schools in his native Netherlands. Although that made things problematic for him and a group of friends, it wouldn't end up holding them back or stopping them from learning how to bump or run the ropes.

In between terms at school, Aleister and pals would plan out trips to Germany and the United Kingdom to further their dreams.

Whenever Black would see a seminar hosted by someone like Doug Williams, Johnny Kidd or Johnny Saint, he'd do everything in his power to be there. That old-school British style combined with a kickboxing background and the European traditions in Germany to create Black's divergent, hard-hitting ring style today.

None of that would have been possible had he not spent his school holidays seeking out ways to improve himself and learn.
