10 Things We Need To See Before WWE's Bloodline Saga Ends
6. The Ghosts Of Roman’s Past
While WWE booking isn’t always beholden to its own history, the Bloodline story has felt like something particularly continuous and cohesive. The symmetry of Jey and Roman renewing hostilities three years down the line has been mentioned in the build, as have the stats on Reigns’ pinfall losses - everything is well considered and coherent.
To this end, before everything is done and dusted, it would be meaningful to see Roman reckon once more with all the superstars he’s screwed over on the road to WWE dominance. While some have since left the company, plenty - Edge, McIntyre, Sami and Kevin, Bray Wyatt in theory - remain WWE players and should relish the opportunity to revisit their roles in this epic tale.
That’s not to suggest these feuds should simply be rehashed, but it would be great for this all-encompassing tale to give a reminder of the wreckage the Tribal Chief has left in his path by way of those he’s trampled on having one final say in matters.
This could take the form of a big babyface team saving the day or something akin to a boss rush - if the numbers are right, we could even hear William Regal bellowing about War Games once more. In any event, the story would feel incomplete without some of its best supporting characters making another appearance.
