10 Things Wrestling Fans Found Too Distracting

1. "What?"

Ugh.

One thing nobody should look forward to when crowds do return to pro wrestling shows is the dreaded "What?" chant. It's a nightmare for wrestlers to string together a promo knowing fans will interject with Steve Austin's old catchphrase whenever they pause for breath. This completely ruins segments.

"What?" forces afflicted promos to follow a predictable cadence that means few are actually able to listen to what's being said. It's difficult to do when the audience are waiting on a gap so they can shout the disturbing phrase over and over again as workers cling to whatever sanity they have left.

That chant was the worst thing Austin ever "gifted" the wrestling world. It distracts from the meat of every segment it's involved in, throws wrestlers off their game and inspires those who love a good trolling session to keep on going to the delight of exactly no-one.

Does anyone actually find this funny anymore?
