10 Things WWE Are Getting Absolutely Right At The Moment

3. The Meteoric Rise of Bron Breakker

When WWE puts their collective mind to it, they can still create a new megastar and Rick Steiner’s son is fast becoming a testament to that.

Questionable ring name to one side, Bronson Rechsteiner burst onto the scene of the newly rechristened NXT 2.0 as Bron Breakker and is apparently a firm believer in first impressions. Making his debut on the 14 September 2021 episode, the son of the Dog-Faced Gremlin started his first night on TV challenging and defeating LA Knight (who was challenging for the NXT Championship later in the evening, lest we forget) and ended his first night on the job by issuing the first challenge to new NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa. In the two short months that have followed, Breakker has continued to impress and came within a hair of dethroning Ciampa for the title at NXT Halloween Havoc.

The trajectory here is promising. Armed with dad’s power and in-ring ability as well as uncle Scott’s intense personality, huge things could be on the horizon for Bron Breakker. But WWE should tread lightly here. Their reputation for rushing talent to RAW and SmackDown without a concrete plan precedes them. This is one they really don’t want to lose in the shuffle.
