In the build to her rematch with then-Smackdown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch at WWE Extreme Rules, former champion Bianca Belair unveiled a new ring jacket. Sewn to the sleeves were a pair of patches emblazoned with the names of Sasha Banks, who she had dethroned for the Smackdown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 37 and Bayley, who had unsuccessfully challenged Belair to regain the belt herself.

While the color of the belt and the brand may have changed in the interim, the mission has not. Bianca has made it clear that she’s planning on running through The Four Horsewomen, and Becky is the next name Belair plans on sewing to the jacket.

Every time The EST and ‘Big Time Bex’ share the ring, anticipation runs high. After 16 months on maternity leave, Becky Lynch has returned in many respects better than ever. However, the story at its core remains that while ‘The Man’ is out to prove she hasn’t lost a step in her time away, her efforts to hold onto the championship she relinquished rather than actually losing are becoming more desperate and resourceful.

How many more times can Becky rely on sucker punches, disqualifications, third-party involvement or exposed turnbuckle pads before the Luck of the Irish runs out? Furthermore, when, not if Bianca Belair finally notches her victory over Lynch, will the impending feud with final horsewoman Charlotte Flair deliver on the same level?
