In Game Of Thrones, pretty much anything can happen, and frequently does. Remember the fate of Ned Stark in season one? The Red Wedding in season three? Of course you do, and those are just the two biggest. There have been dozens of other defining moments in Game Of Thrones: watercooler moments, set-pieces, fights, confrontations, lines and cliffhangers that have people talking about the show all week until its time for the next episode. WWE claims to produce watercooler moments, but theyre few and far between. Considering the number of hours of television they produce every week is approximately half of what Game Of Thrones delivers every year, this is both understandable in one sense (with so much programming, blindsiding and amazing the audience every week would be difficult) and baffling in another (with that much programming, youd think that theyd have more than two or three eyebrow-raising moments a year simply by accident, if nothing else). Mostly, you get the sense that theyre not even trying. Ill be touching on why this doesnt happen with WWE but does with Game Of Thrones as this article goes on but its something that need stressing. WWE runs the biggest and most famous pro wrestling shows in the world, with a supremely talented roster of men and women. They should be flooring it every week, every month, every year, all the time and theyre not.
