10 Things WWE Fans Need To Know About Adrian Neville
4. WWE Pursued Him For Years
When Neville was putting on great matches around the world for various different companies and improving as an all-round performer, it wasn't going unnoticed by the folks at WWE. Indeed, WWE saw Neville's potential well before he joined the company and made repeated attempts to try and sign him to a contract. Neville, feeling that he wasn't quite ready for the main stage and still had unfinished business in Japan (he was incredibly loyal to Dragon Gate) decided to hold off until the time is right. TNA were also interested. Neville even worked for TNA in January 2005 on their tour of Portugal (wrestling four ways against fellow brits Johnny Storm, Jody Fleisch and current TNA wrestler Rockstar Spud). Before he signed with WWE, TNA were also knocking on Neville's door with offers to wrestle for them. He definitely did the right thing by sticking with Japan and honing his craft a little longer. When he turned up in NXT in 2012 he was already ahead of the game. That he has been there for coming up three years is a shame, to say the least.
