Recent reports suggest that AJ Styles will skip NXT entirely and move directly to the main WWE roster. This must excite the man, because he arguably shouldn't be frittering away time in the developmental group anyway. Admittedly, AJ would add a fresh dynamic to NXT, but he deserves a run on the main roster first and foremost. The annual Royal Rumble needs some special additions to make it feel relevant this year, because it hasn't been setting the world on fire over the past few years. If Styles were to enter, a strong showing in the 30-man match would set him up well for the rest of the year. He could still dip his toe into NXT, but the main roster is where he belongs. For WWE fans who aren't too familiar with his work, an exciting piece of wrestling talent is about to converge on the main roster. Even though he has changed his style somewhat as the years have progressed, AJ isn't adverse to working a quick pace during his matches. At a time when WWE's talent roster is relatively thin on the ground, Styles is the perfect signing.
