Growing bored of the TNA system, AJ Styles decided it was time to shake things up with his career before it was too late. One of his ambitions was to head to Japan and prove himself all over again. As aforementioned, anybody who has kept an eye on events in New Japan Pro Wrestling can attest that AJ has been an undoubted success since choosing to do so. It would have been easy for AJ to simply sign another contract extension with TNA and coast through the next few years. That didn't interest the man, he had so many more things he wanted to do before hanging up his boots. Perhaps Styles viewed TNA as detrimental to any chance of finally working properly with WWE. Perception of the company is low, meaning anyone associated with it is rarely taken seriously by the McMahon family. Seeking out opportunities elsewhere has greatly helped AJ, and he is now finally on the WWE radar. Styles deserves some credit for this move, because it was a calculated risk. At the moment, it looks like one which will pay off big time for the man, who looks poised to finally achieve an ambition of working in the biggest company on the pro wrestling landscape.
