That Cain has taken to pro-wrestling like a horrible goose to a peaceful rural village is much less surprising when you discover that he spent a bit of time learning the literal ropes at WWE's Performance Center last year.

The UFC star sparred under the tutelage of veteran trainer Norman Smiley, stepping in the ring opposite Heavy Machinery star Otis, before he got his stretch on with a session of DDP Yoga. Completing his little spell at Full Sail, Velasquez could be spotted in the crowd of that weekend's NXT tapings.

Of course, the MMA transplant's accelerated aptitude can't be credited entirely to his brief spell in Orlando. Popping his head through the door was just the beginning of his journey, and evidence that he's taking his wrestling foray seriously.
