There's this perception that people that are second or third generation wrestlers get signed easier by WWE. That's not always true. Look at Natalya. Then look at some of the women that have been hired by WWE in the last decade because of model searches that got to have matches on WWE TV without knowing the difference between a wrist lock and an arm drag. Let's look at Christy Hemme and Ashley Massaro as examples. Both of them were in the business for less than a year, yet they were given Women's Title matches at WrestleMania all because WWE wanted them to be stars. Natalya's been in WWE for 7 years and hasn't had a singles match for a Women's or Divas Title at WrestleMania. Natalya worked her ass off for 7 years to get into WWE. Others were wrestling on television in less than a year. There are other women from the mid 2000s that got hired after the Diva Search that got their chance in WWE before Natalya, so those that think it was "handed" to her or something like that, they are wrong. Hard work pays off. Natalya is an example of that. She started training when she was 18 years old and here she is 14 years later proving that she's still one of the best in the business. Want an example? Go watch the match with Charlotte from NXT Takeover. That's a veteran working with a near rookie to make her look great. Few women alive could have a match that good. When you see Natalya in the ring with a big smile on her face, it's because she's doing what she loves: Living the dream.
