10 Things WWE Has Forgotten How To Do

1. Deal With Competition

Week to week, WWF Raw and WCW Nitro pushed one another, playing a sensational tug-o-war each and every Monday.

The WWF formula had grown stale by the time Eric Bischoff brought Nitro to screens in 1995, and the competition proved healthy for Vince McMahon.

Would he have been provoked to change things so drastically and usher in the 'Attitude Era' had he not been pushed by a rival organisation?

Now, the same complaints flood social media about WWE's output. That word, 'stale' is used regularly, but then others point out that the company can do exactly what they want.

After all, there's nobody who can supplant them as pro wrestling's biggest fish.

WWE haven't had meaningful competition since WCW went out of business in 2001. TNA don't count, they have never realistically pushed WWE in serious fashion, even if they have shouted from the rooftops occasionally about being an 'alternative'.

TNA hasn't threatened to take away business from WWE worldwide (or even in North America) at any point, and that competition is something the McMahon family must have forgotten how to combat.

Their promotion isn't in any danger of losing out to another.
