10 Things WWE Must Do This Summer
6. Promote Shinsuke Nakamura
During that aforementioned next WWE Draft, the interest of fans will peak and many will once again expect the company to promote stars from NXT to the main roster. Last year's draft felt a tad disappointing in that regard, because people didn't get the names (such as Samoa Joe or Shinsuke Nakamura) they were waiting for.
2017 has the chance to set that right, and it's surely time for Nakamura to make a splash on Raw or SmackDown in the summer; the Japanese sensation has done everything he can on NXT, and he'll only stall if he's not given the opportunity to work at a higher level in the WWE food chain.
Nakamura's involvement in a summer draft would legitimise the need for one in the first place, because the pop Shinsuke's impending arrival on the main roster would receive is well worth looking out for.
People wanted it last summer and didn't get it, but the second half of 2017 should be Nakamura's time to shine on Monday or Tuesday nights. His talent demands it, and his promotion is simply crucial.
