10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Christian

4. Vince McMahon Wanted To Put A Blue Dot On Him

You might be looking at that and thinking what do you mean Vince McMahon wanted to put a blue dot on Christian? It's true, apparently. Here's how former WWE writer Alex Greenfield explained it: "Christian was just so completely over, and everybody thought he was going to get a push at, I think it was the World Heavyweight Championship at that point. We were on the plane one time shortly after I started, and Vince was just like €œGod damn, I just don€™t like his face. His face really bothers me." I was like, €œHe€™s ugly, Vince?€ €œNo, it€™s not that he€™s ugly, it€™s just, I don€™t know, it€™s ratty! You know what we should do? That Kennedy gimmick.€ And we€™re all like, €œWhat?€ Someone from the Kennedy fortune I guess got arrested for rape in the 1990s at some point. When the woman who was accusing him was on the stand, all of the networks put a blue dot over her face. Vince was like, €œGod damn, you know what we should do? We should put a blue dot over his face whenever he comes out.€ It was the flight to Sheffield, England, also the flight where the Spirit Squad idea was invented. This was a whole flight of bad ideas." What a bizarre story. The timeline of the story was probably around 2005 since the Spirit Squad debuted in early 2006. Christian left WWE in late 2005, but he was on fire when he left. Thankfully it didn't happen, but if a former writer is going to publicly talk about it then that means it was probably discussed. Apparently, JBL once referenced the "blue dot" story when Christian was on camera too, so that adds to the legitimacy of it. What a bizarre idea.
