If there's one thing that terrifies WWE officials in the modern era, it's the idea of their precious TV format being messed around with. That didn't mean a hell of a lot to Dusty Rhodes, who came up in the industry when that format was a little less rigid and wrestlers were encouraged to react naturally and improvise in front of the live crowd. During an in-ring segment in late-2013, Stephanie McMahon was left a little rattled by the actions of Rhodes, who decided to make things a little more real than the 'Billion Dollar Princess' was prepared for. Squaring up to Triple H and defending his sons, Goldust and Cody Rhodes, the legend put his hand in the face of McMahon, one she instantly batted away. Apparently, even though this added a cool, spontaneous atmosphere to the skit, Stephanie and the rest of the production team were far from thrilled with Dusty's actions. As a consequence of the throwaway gesture, Rhodes was pulled from subsequent appearances, supposedly ill-fitting of appearing in the WWE environment of 2013.
