10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Sasha Banks
3. She Struggled Post-Charlotte Flair
This writer would argue that Charlotte Flair was more important to Sasha's career than Bayley. Think about how much chemistry Banks and Flair had when they launched their rivalry on the main roster in 2016. Between main event matches on Raw, Falls Count Anywhere brawls, Hell In A Cell history and Iron Woman epics, they did it all together.
When Charlotte was drafted to SmackDown in the 2017 Superstar Shake-Up, something changed.
Banks didn't have a natural enemy anymore, and she suddenly found herself drifting into unimportance without a heel complement. It's no coincidence that Sasha's stock fell dramatically without Charlotte's influence. It worked both ways, admittedly. Flair also struggled to move on from Banks when she first landed on Tuesdays.
She's recovered though. Banks hasn't, certainly not as a singles worker. She means far less now than she did as the grafting babyface opposite of Charlotte's entitled 'Queen' character.
