The hottest WWE angle going into SummerSlam 2010 (and, quite possibly, the hottest WWE angle going into any SummerSlam of the last decade) was the invasion of Wade Barrett's Nexus, who were pitted against a team of seven main roster stars in a Survivor Series-style elimination match.
It was to the disappointment of many fans that that the rookies, despite having a numerical advantage in the final stages, ended up eating a loss courtesy of a John Cena Comeback™. But WWE probably isn't too keen on you finding out exactly whose idea that was.
According to Edge and Chris Jericho, who discussed the match on a podcast a few years ago, it was Cena who wanted to overcome the odds by eliminating Barrett and Justin Gabriel, the two final Nexus competitors (something he apparently did, to his credit, later concede was the wrong decision).
