1. Bubba Has Been Accused Of Being Stiff
Wrestling fans really need to make their mind up about whether being stiff is a good thing or not. Brock Lesnar got one of the loudest pops of the Royal Rumble on Sunday when he cracked Braun Strowman across the jaw with a heavy right-hand, and yet when he did the same thing to Randy Orton way back at SummerSlam 2016, it was viewed as barbaric (though to be fair, it was).
The difference of opinion here is partly a generational thing. As a rule of thumb, veterans tend to hit opponents harder, some of them actually wearing their perceived stiffness as a badge of pride; a way of breaking new blood into the business.
But younger guys, more often than not, take the opposite view - guys like, for example, René Dupree, who a couple of years ago accused Bubba Ray Dudley of being a little bit too rough in the ring, stating "I’ve had so many concussions from Bubba Ray Dudley it’s not even funny".
Of course, this is totally uncorroborated - Bubba was employed by WWE for half a decade, and they even saw fit to bring him back as recently as two years ago - but accusations like this are the sort of thing all parties would prefer to sweep under the rug.
