10 Things You Didn't Know About John Cena

10. Cena's Debut Rap Album Is Certified Platinum

After an impromptu rapping display for Stephanie McMahon on a company plane, she was convinced that Cena should have a rapping gimmick, and that led to Cena getting in the recording studio to record the song "Untouchable"; which was his first theme song under the gimmick. When John Cena earned his first world championship back in 2005, he decided to capitalize on the newly found exposure by releasing his first full-length album. His album "You Can't See Me" debuted on May 10, 2005, just a month after his WrestleMania 21 title win over JBL. Some people may know that the album debuted on the Billboard 200 album charts at #15 in its first week of sales, but they may not know that the album is certified platinum by the RIAA. A platinum record is one that has sold 1 million copies, and "You Can't See Me" has sold over 1.3M copies to date. Even though more albums reached platinum in the pre-digital music boom, going platinum is still a great achievement to behold.
