10 Things You Didn't Know About Toni Storm

3. She Is The First-ever And Longest-reigning Progress Women's Champion

As previously noted, with her win over Jinny and Laura Di Matteo at Progress Chapter 49, Toni Storm became the inaugural Progress Women's champion, which was well-deserved. Not only does she hold that honor, she is also widely recognized as being the best Women's champion the company has had to date.

In the year that followed, Storm battled the best women's wrestlers the entire industry had to offer and defended her coveted title all around the world. Some of the established competitors she knocked off include Candice LeRae, Mercedes Martinez, Shotzi Blackheart, Di Matteo and Dahlia Black, among others.

Storm even successfully defended her title at WrestleMania Axxess against Lacey Evans in 2018.

Almost exactly one year removed from her title win, Storm finally dropped the gold to her bitter rival Jinny at Progress Chapter 69: Be Here Now. Jinny also had an impressive reign as champion in the remainder of the year but never quite reached the same heights that Storm did.

This also means Storm competed in the first Mae Young Classic as the Progress Women's champion before Jinny did the same the following year.
