Trish Stratus was to go on to become a seven-time WWE Women's Champion, but it could have been so very different. Word has it that Trish was never actually supposed to become a full time in-ring competitor, more than her career was to stay outside of the ring outside of special occasions.

It wasn't until 2001 that Trish began wrestling more and more, winning the championship for the first time at that year's Survivor Series. She far surpassed the company's expectations for her inside the ropes, a testament to her hard work and aptitude for professional wrestling.

It would have been very different if she had stuck to managing her charges.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
