10 Things You Just Have To Accept To Enjoy The Modern WWE Product

5. They'll Never Push Your Favourites

One of the most frustrating things about following WWE is knowing that the company generally don't care who the fans want to see in the spotlight. They're going to push their guys over everyone else, and while genuine fan favourites like Daniel Bryan will often drift into the spotlight, they're still going to be treated as secondary to the John Cenas of the world.

The current clamour is focused on wrestlers like Sami Zayn, and while the former El Generico may well become WWE Champion before he retires, history suggests he'll never be 'the guy.' The current hierarchy have a long track record of pushing their golden geese over everyone else, no matter what the fans think of it, and there's no reason to believe this will ever change.

It's extremely irritating, but it's something we just have to live with. As was the case with Bryan, there'll be euphoric moments when someone like Zayn will feel as though they're the most important wrestler in the company, but they'll be fleeting. There's absolutely nothing fans can do about it either, so while the complaints are valid, they're ultimately a waste of words.
