10 Things You Learn Binge Watching Every WWE Raw From 2004

1. They HAD To Turn Edge Heel

BOOOOOO!

That sound is something Edge would come to relish during his 'Rated-R Superstar' days, but he wasn't quite there yet in 2004. His March return was a short-lived thrill, then fans unthinkably started to turn on someone who hadn't really freshened up his act since going solo in 2001.

It's genuinely bloody odd to revisit these episodes of Raw and hear Edge's reactions from crowds verging on "X-Pac heat". WWE had to try something different with him over the summer, and they did - he started a soft heel turn later in the year, which preceded sheer bad guy magic the following year.

People were bored of his babyface act by '04, and no-one really knew what to do about it until the 'Rated-R' days. You will not be prepared for some of the heavy booing that accompanied his short-ish Intercontinental Title reign between July-September.
