Chris Jericho's wars with Shawn Michaels and Kenny Omega are regarded as some of the best of his career, but John Cena has to rank high on the list of his all-time greatest rivals.

After all, it was Jericho who Cena feuded with upon making his main roster debut in June 2002. Many fans remember that Cena's debut match on the main roster came against Kurt Angle in a losing effort but don't remember that his second match was a loss to Jericho one week later.

That marked the first and only victory Jericho has ever scored over Cena.

In Cena's first match on pay-per-view at Vengeance the following month, he defeated Jericho in clean fashion.

It was another three years before they rekindled their rivalry over the WWE Championship in the summer of 2005. Cena beat Jericho another two times with the latter loss leading to Y2J's exit from WWE.

Jericho couldn't avoid Cena during his second stint with the promotion, either. Cena knocked off his longtime rival for the World Heavyweight Championship at Survivor Series 2008 before beating him another seven times in televised matches in the years that followed.

If Jericho returns to WWE down the road, expect his lack of luck versus the face that runs the place to be no different than it was almost 20 years ago.
