10 Thrown-Together WWE Acts That Made No Sense

1. The Corre

Though The Corre was supposedly formed as the elite crew from a Nexus faction ripped apart by CM Punk at the end of 2010, Wade Barrett's gang of losers was in reality the first point at which it became evident that none of the NXT originals stood a chance of making it to the top tier on the main roster.

A feud between the warring units didn't remotely enthuse, with a Royal Rumble 2011 scrap the only point at which a semblance of heat built between the former colleagues.

By WrestleMania that year, Nexus had been systematically destroyed by Randy Orton en route to his clash with CM Punk, whilst Wade led his lot into one of the most demeaning losses in 'Show Of Shows' history against a makeshift group featuring Kane, Kofi Kingston, Santino Marella and The Big Show.

As noted elsewhere on this list, Heath Slater survives on the main roster to this day, but Barrett followed Ezekiel Jackson and Justin Gabriel out of WWE's side exit after multiple repackages never washed away the stink of his challenging maiden year.
