10 Times Brock Lesnar Won On His First Attempt
5. UFC Championship Fight

Where: UFC 91
Just three months after his first win in the UFC, Lesnar beat a 45-year-old Randy Couture to win the Heavyweight Championship by second-round TKO at UFC 91.
Many in MMA circles weren't too happy with Lesnar jumping the queue for a title shot solely through name value and financial benefits for the company, but Lesnar wasn’t going to let the chance go to waste regardless.
Though still very much a legend at the time, the ageing Couture was simply out-muscled by the substantially larger Lesnar, a man 14 years his junior.
He is the first, and still only, fighter to defend against two interim champions in one reign, taking his success over Couture into big title defences against Frank Mir and Shane Carwin.
He would also bag a record-equalling two Heavyweight Title defences, a number that has since been passed only by Stipe Miocic.
Many fighters go their entire career without a title opportunity, even fewer get more than one shot if they fail their first. Lesnar wasn't going to leave it to chance.
