Going into WrestleMania XXVII Bryan lost his US Title to Sheamus, but was all set to have a rematch on the main card of that show. It was one fans were looking forward to as the two hard-hitting men would be let loose on the biggest stage of them all. However, just before the big event, it was announced that the match would no longer be televised and had been turned into a Lumberjack match. In other words, the annual get everyone on the card extravaganza. In fact, it would end up finishing when the lumberjacks got involved. So instead of getting a chance to steal the show with Sheamus, Bryan was consigned to the scrap heap. Yet this would play a part in kicking off one of the most important years of his career. In a recurring theme from his career fans rallied behind him in the months that followed and he would move to SmackDown, win Money in the Bank, cash that in and start on a road that led him to WrestleMania XXVIII. What was probably one of the biggest disappointments of Daniel Bryan's WWE career, may, in fact, have been the turning point in it.
