6. Vs. Kevin Owens (Elimination Chamber 2015)
For once, WWE came up with a solid plan to get Kevin Owens over with the mainstream audience. Step one: introduce him as a take-no-prisoners wrestler's wrestler. Step two: pair him up with the company's biggest name. Step three: have them put on an incredible match on his PPV debut.
It all worked pretty well, and while Owens had forever been putting in eye-catching performances on the indie scene (and, prior to his main roster bow, in NXT as well) his rapid ascent up the WWE pecking order was at least partially aided by the selfless work of Cena during mid-2015. This match was awesome from start to finish, and any jeers for the guy in the Hustle, Loyalty, Respect tee were strictly in the spirit of pantomine fun.
