3. The Initial Sex Tape Controversy
When the Hulk Hogan and Heather Clem sex tape first emerged in 2012, the embarrassment was huge for the Hulkster.
Not only was part of this bizarre video now out in the open, it also revealed that Hogan was ‘doing the deed’ with the wife of one of his close friends, Bubba the Love Sponge. If that wasn’t bad enough, Bubba was all cool with this situation and was even recording it!
Various law suits would follow, with Hogan seeking action against Gawker Media (who had possession of the footage) and the duo of Clem and Bubba.
Whilst the initial shock and uproar at the surfacing of this video put a huge dent in the reputation of the Hulkster, he would still manage to keep his career on track in TNA and then later return to the WWE.
Still, when all was said and done, maybe Hogan’s relief at the sex tape storm calming down was just a little premature.
