10 Times The PPV After WrestleMania Was Better

6. Extreme Rules (2010)

If you're a fan of gimmick matches then this entry will be right up your alley. If you aren't, it might be worthwhile you skipping to the next page. Yes, I'm saying that a WrestleMania headlined by Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker was outshone by an Extreme Rules event. Am I mad? WrestleMania XXVI did have some good matches in it. The likes of Sheamus vs. Triple H, CM Punk vs. Rey Mysterio and Randy Orton vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Ted DiBiase were all really solid bouts, but nothing that really got you out of your seat. Extreme Rules however included everything but the kitchen sink. In its debut in the slot of the pay per view directly after Mania it had to make a statement, and it did. We were treated to a Gauntlet Match, a Hair Match, a Strap Match, an Extreme Rules Match, an Extreme Makeover Match, a Street Fight, a Cage Match and a last man Standing Match. Phew. WWE at its most fun and somewhat farcical best. The poster for the event was also pretty cool.
