10 Times Wrestlers No-Sold Killer Moves

3. Hulk Hogan No-Sells The Tombstone Piledriver

Hulk Hogan, the obvious-innovator of the term, helped put himself over as a proverbial "superhero" by no-selling his opponents' offense. Of course, there are plenty of contenders to choose from, but this is by far one of the most superfluous.

During their WWF Championship match at Survivor Series 1991 (oh hey, it's this show again!), The Undertaker hoisted up Hogan for his signature Tombstone Piledriver. At the time, nobody had ever gotten up from the move, but then again, nobody else is Hulk Hogan. So, in his usual "grandstandin' and hotdoggin'" style, Hogan lept right up to his feet and acted as if less-than-nothing had happened to him, then began his usual flurry of offense.

To be fair, Taker would go on to win the match. However, it would take interference from Ric Flair, who would slip a steel chair into the ring for Taker to Tombstone Hogan's head onto. Which kind of raises questions about whether or not Hogan ever wanted to put the young Taker over in the first place. And considering he apparently faked a neck injury after the spot, even though his head didn't even come close to hitting the chair, there is some apparent truth to that hypothesis.
