10 Times WWE Dropped The Ball On Jack Swagger

1. World Heavyweight Championship Run

Nothing will come close to being as big of a blunder in Jack Swagger's WWE career than his short-lived World Heavyweight Championship reign in 2010. He had all the tools to be a main event caliber competitor early on in his main roster run, but WWE rushed him into the spotlight by having him win the Money in the Bank Ladder match at WrestleMania 26 (coming off an extensive losing streak, mind you) and cash in the contract successfully on SmackDown days later. Even then, they could have gotten away with making a star out of him on the blue brand, but the booking of his title reign was nothing short of atrocious. He lost just about every match he was involved in with his only clean victory coming against Randy Orton at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view. And as soon as he dropped the strap at the inaugural (and only) Fatal 4-Way event to Rey Mysterio, that was the end of his time on top. He had his championship rematch at Money in the Bank, but beyond that show, he was a virtually a non-factor on SmackDown. In fact, he wasn't present at SummerSlam in any capacity. So, I leave you with this: If no one remembers Jack Swagger was a world champion, did it really happen? Do you think WWE have mishandled Jack Swagger?
